Lee Gets Refitted

I recently saw this email from Lee, and I think that Mozify could be a perfect fit for their next email marketing campaign. It's a great promotional email, with a clear call to action, but that wouldn't be evident to anybody who sees their email with images blocked. Take a look at what I saw when I opened their email:
I used our Mozify tool to give this email a much needed makeover. In our last marketing campaign, using Mozify doubled our unique open rate compared to the industry average! How did we do it? A Mozified email allows recipients to read and navigate the email without downloading images. Buttons like "Women" and "Men" are legible and easy to find in a Mozified email. Lee's call to action (at the bottom of the email) also benefits from the Mozify treatment, but probably the biggest improvement is in the email's center. What had been an empty, grey box now displays their marketing copy as soon as the email is opened. Want to know how? Just keep reading.
Mosaics are the building blocks of a Mozified email. Creating a mosaic is easy! Just click on that section of your email (as automatically detected by Mozify) and select either "Insert Text Only" or "Create Mosaic." For most of the images in this email we were able to use text only mosaics, which have a much smaller footprint on your total file size. In fact, only the two images that needed to be made into full mosaics were the two models on either side of the email. Let's start with the one on the left.
Text only mosaics are much simpler than image mosaics. Our WYSIWYG editor will help you format your text so that it matches the images in your email. Because of the complexity of the marketing copy in the email's center, this did require a bit of inline CSS magic:

I wrapped each section of the copy in span tags, and then styled those individually. In this way we were able to mimic the copy they already had, including font size, line spacing and font face. What's important is that they're getting their message out that much faster. And remember, when the user downloads images they'll replace our Mozified versions seamlessly.
