We’re turning down the lights and going dark throughout October here at Email on Acid. It’s all part of what we’re calling “Darktober” — our comprehensive look into how an important digital design trend is impacting email marketing.

Dark mode for email is still in its early stages, so it’s tough to know how widespread usage really is. That’s why we decided to become mad scientists and conduct our own rogue experiment. And, we’re starting with a survey of our own dear subscribers <insert evil laugh here>.

Towards the end of Darktober, we’ll join Action Rocket for a live chat on Twitter that puts the focus on dark mode emails and shines the spotlight on the Email Geeks community.

    1. Stats on that are tough to find aren’t they, Ron? We’ll have some info from “informal” surveys in an infographic that’s publishing soon. And … we’re working to dig into that question ourselves, too.

  1. just spent a couple of hours trying to find a way to hack the dark mode and enforce the light one, nothing works. I hope you guys can shed some light and maybe come up with an override
