Hi all,

Hoping I came to the right place but I received an email yesterday from the NFL about a birthday promotion.
They had my last name written on the back of the jersey (it was a jpg) and I have NO idea how they were able to do this. I’m sure they have thousands of birthdays everyday so they are obviously not hopping into Photoshop, adding each last name and exporting a jpg.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Pat

Hi Pat,

Welcome to the Email on Acid forums!

Isn’t it great when you get an email like the one you received and it really impresses you?

Personalised images can be served up in this way either building your own way of doing it by parsing parameters onto images. Akin to how https://dummyimage.com/ works. Alternatively, there are a few paid services that specialise in this kind of dynamic and personalised content in email. See http://kickdynamic.com/ and https://movableink.com/

Hope that helps!

Cheers,
Alex
