Testing plain text emails on different cultures

I need to test an email that is just plain text but it is translated to different languages. I still didn’t find a proper way to run the Acid tests pasting the HTML content (I don’t have the HTML as long as my mails are plain text).

I tried these options:
- using the send email to the account
- uploading HTML obtained from Firefox following this directions:
but no luck at all ... some characters don’t render at all (e.g. the + sign in a telephone number) or the retrieved HTML source don’t pass your controls at all.

What is the best way to test them?

NOTE: the emails in the different langugages are rendering fine in hotmail, yahoo, gmail, thunderbird and outlook (using the real email clients)

Thank you!
