Mac Mail spam fail

I ran an acid test which failed SpamAssassin (slighly) and Yahoo Mail. I made a few minor adjustments to the CSS so my message would display better on the iPhone. Then I ran a second test on the modified message. This one failed SpamAssassin again, passed Yahoo, and failed Mac Mail. I can’t figure out why it failed Mac Mail the second time around. What can I look for? Any guidance?

I wish I could provide more information here.  Spam filters are very private about why your email passed or failed. They do this to ensure that spammers don’t figure out their techniques.

Did you make major modifications to get it to render properly on the iPhone? Did you change any of the contents of the email?  Did you use the same “from” address?  The “from” address allows us to test the reputation of the sender and this plays a big factor on if it passes or fails.

The only changes I made were in the CSS in the head of the document. I added some widths in the @media only screen and (max-device-width: 480px) part of the styles. Everything else remained the same. But thanks for your reply.
