We have just moved from using our own mailing program to using Sendy. http://sendy.co/

I have noticed the open rates are vastly different

For example a recent campaign is showing as 44.28% unique opens in sendy and 55% in EOA, 8% unique clicks in sendy and 12% in EOA.

Any ideas?

Does this ESP count a click as an open? Because a link cannot be clicked if the email is not opened, we add clicks to our opens total. There also may be differences in how they count opens from Gmail (because of proxy serving images) and other possible differences in how they count these stats.

We’d be happy to look into this issue in more detail if you’d like to submit a support request. Just email support [at] emailonacid.com with the details and we’ll see if we can find out what’s going on. You can also download a subscriber level campaign report, if you’re using merge tags, and download something similar from your ESP so that you can compare the two.
