One of the people we sent emails for is having trouble viewing images in 2004. He sent a screen shot, and it just looks like the images have not been downloaded. I’m not sure if this is a problem on his machine, or something that will happen for everyone. I am on Entourage 2008 and it views fine, and the preview shows fine with no discrepancies.

Couple things you might check:

1.) Are your image paths absolute?

2.) Are the image URLs prefixed with http? (If they are behind an https protocol they will not be accepted in many email clients)

3.) Are you sure that your customer is downloading the images? With Entourage, I think you can permanently block images from certain senders.  He/she may have to change their settings to allow your test emails.

the images a URL’s hosted on our email provider’s website (not secure https)
I am not 100% sure they downloaded images, but we’ve been doing this for a few emails and this is the first problem, the header and footer are actually the same html as before, and still won’t display.

Baesman,

Did you ever resolve this issue?  If not, please send us the email in question so we can test with our version of Entourage.  To do this, fill out our “contact us” form and insert either the code or the URL.

If you did resolve it, feel free to let us know what the issue was, this might help some of our readers.

Thanks!
