Hi all,

Something odd happens to the Copyright code on iPhone using Gmail.
The C becomes huge and changes colour. Do you know why it’s happening? Perhaps an update on iPhone that affected the C?
I really don’t understand. I have an Android and I use Gmail and the copyright C is displayed fine.

Attached an example of what I mean.
Thanks,

Giulia

Hi Giulia,

Thanks for pointing this out. Turns out Gmail has started converting symbols to their own form of Emoji! We hope they revert this behaviour but in the mean time, we blogged how to fix this: https://www.emailonacid.com/blog/article/email-development/gmail-ios-replacing-copyright-symbols-with-blue-emoji-and-how-to-fix-it

Cheers!
