I’m using the pre tag, and in Email on Acid it’s not preserving double carriage returns, but when sending an actual test to Outlook 2010, it is preserving double carriage returns.

We take actual screen captures in Outlook 2010 so your email is rendering exactly as it appears in our version of Outlook. 

Are you sure that your sending service isn’t stripping out your pre tag?  To check, you can right click at the very footer (bottom right) corner of your email in the Outlook inbox and select “View Source.”  That should be the source as it was sent from your ESP.

Actually, sorry I spoke too soon.  I was able to re-create this issue on my end too.  I have created a ticket with my dev team and will report back as soon as I know more.
